Question about II Requests

If I put in a request for several possible options with II, but have not "deposited" my week, and they find something that meets one of my requests, will I be "locked into" the first thing they find?

You have 24 hours to cancel any match. Not the end of the next business day---24 hours. If you cancel within this time frame, you will have the use of your week restored to you per the II terms & conditions. Here is the specific paragraph in question:

Under II’s Exchange Cancellation Policy, a Member is entitled to
cancel a Confirmation by notifying II of his or her desire to cancel
such Confirmation within the first 24 hours after the exchange
request has been confirmed. ... If the Member has used the Request
First method of exchange, the Member’s exchange fee will be
refunded and the right to occupy the Home Resort accommodations
shall revert to the Member.

The 24 hours start from the time of confirmation, not the time you receive the confirmation. Make sure you have email notification not by regular mail.

Right.

My take is I don't put anything in an II ongoing search unless I'm committed to taking it if it hits. I'm usually checking email constantly, but not always.
