I'm considering trading into Diamond Resorts Powhatan Plantation in Williamsburg. One of the unit options is listed as 2BR, sleeps 6, privacy 6. I assume that with "privacy 6", all 6 sleeping positions will be in the two bedrooms and nobody will have to endure a sleeper sofa. I've been on hold "forever" waiting to talk to someone at the resort about this question...figured it might be quicker to get an answer here. Does anyone know for sure? Again assuming, master king and guest 2 doubles or 2 queens?

Thanks,
Steve

Hopefully someone with specific knowledge of the resort can answer but 6/6 usually means there still is a sofa bed. It means the 2nd bathroom is either somewhere where you don't have to walk through the living room area to enter it from the 2nd bedroom and/or the bathroom has 2 doors- one into the bedroom and one into the hall again so that no one has to walk through someone elses sleeping area to access the bathroom.
4 people in one bedroom is not considered privacy for those 4 so usually if there are 2 double or larger beds in a bedroom they still consider that privacy for 2 not 4.

Did you call the front desk? Usually you don't have to wait more than a few minutes to get someone there and they would at least know if there were rooms with no sofa beds. I doubt there are and if there were sofa beds and 2 beds in the second bedroom then the capacity would be listed at 8/6 or 8/4. It would take a long time to get someone familiar with all the multiple configurations that exchange through RCI or II.

Thanks for your reply. I did not get to the front desk.. I got stuck in an automated Diamond Resorts corporate system then got disconnected immediately by the person who picked up after 28 minutes on hold :( I'll look for a different number. I appreciate the insight that privacy can (does?) relate to bathrooms, not necessarily beds.

We just came back from Powhatan, staying in a 2br unit. We were with friends and they also had a 2br. Both listed as 6/6.

One unit had a king in the MBR and two twins in the second br. The sofa in the living room was a pullout. The second bathroom was in the hallway, facing the living room and between the two bedrooms.

The other unit had a king in the MBR and I think a queen in the second br. The sofa in the living room there was also a pullout.

So I would say that two of your six guests would indeed have to sleep on the pullout sofa in the living room.

Thank you for the information. I was able to get through to the front desk a little while ago and they confirmed it would be 2 bedrooms plus a sleeper sofa.
