Any experience about booking a day before you actually arrive at the resort? Looking at a Weston in florida. Will be returning from an international trip and may not be able to call the resort but will have access to email. Thanks for the help.

I don't know what the availability might be, but it seems like it would be a lot less stressful to just book a hotel near the airport, and then move to your resort the next day.

I am not sure I understand the OP's question. To me, it read like the traveler may be delayed and arriving at the resort on the second day of the time period that is booked. (If so, just call them a few days early and let them know.)

I've noticed a few resorts that we've stayed at will rent out units on a day by day basis, our St. Augustine Beach one included. I would call the resort today and ask about the possibility and the cost. Explain your situation and ask if you can book it via email if you need it. I know ours charges a cleaning fee (since the chances of a person staying in the same unit as they have booked are slim) in addition to the rental fee. For that reason, the few times we have arrived in town a day early, we get a cheap motel for the night for less than half the cost.
