((I posted it on other timeshare system, but didn't get any reply, so post here again. Mods, please remove my duplicated post in other timeshare system thread. Thanks!))

I won an auction for this resort on ebay.
Wanted something on NC beach (good driving distance from MD), and saw this summer week on ebay.
My deeded unit is 172, 2 bedroom/2 bathroom unit. Is it close from the ocean or beach?
Do I get the same unit each year, or is the unit floating and get the same view category (like oceanfront, ocean view, etc...) each time?
I like the management co (SPM resort) which is the same as Royal Dunes in Hilton Head.
If you want to comment anything about this resort, please let me know.
Seems like there are not many owners here, did a brief search on TUG, but want to hear anything, any update.
Thanks!

First floor beachfront K building. Not sure if you can see over the dune that comes between the resort and the beach. There were a couple of owners here several years ago. The resort is a combo of timeshare and whole ownership. We were there 11 years ago, so things may have changed some- hopefully for the better. I think I wrote a review, but I don't know if it is still listed.

We were there last summer. We had a 1 bdrm with a den. The resort grounds are nice, pool is large with a slide, very short walk to the beach. Unit was renovated, but our kitchen was tiny, in a hallway, not really possible to cook any larger meals. My biggest problem was that it did not really feel very clean. The carpets were filthy and we actually had them come and clean them for us. It did not make much difference. It is very likely that the 2 bdrms are much nicer. We had a swimming pool view.
Besides the beach, there is no much to do in the area, which was fine with us, one time, but we would not go back. We prefer more active vacations, and Hilton Head is where we keep going back. This was a little too relaxing for us ;) .
I will try posting some pictures tonight, they are on the computer at home.

I recall there was an Island (Shackelford ?)about 30 minutes away with wild horses. Access was by a boat that dropped us off and picked us up a few hours later at a specific time and place. Lots of nice shells with a set legal limit as to how many one could take. There was a science center a short ways down the beach and an old fort tour not far away.
