I'm just barely starting to pursue timeshare as a possibility.

I notice that Russell Kanner (aka The Timeshare King) has a WKORN, Event week 51, Ocean View, 2 bedroom Lockout with 2012 usage listed for $25,000.

This sounds like a great price to me.

What am I missing?

Yes, I have noticed that RK has mixed reviews on this site, but still...

The resale market is that depressed, and some of the north side Ocean Front units actually only have a partial ocean view. If you want an ocean front unit, buy at the south side.

I'm not sure you'll be able to find an Event week for that price. If you're interested, I say go for it.

Ocean front view is superior on the south side, but I haven't been unhappy with my view on the north side. YMMV.
