Walking down the vitamin/supplement isle can be overwhelming. Just learned of quercetin for first time today. Seems to address most of what ails me.

Just remember almost all the items in the Supplement Aisle have not been subject to studies published in Peer Reviewed Journals. Nor have they been subject to FDA testing.

Quercetin is found in many fruits, vegetables, leaves, and grains. Red onions and Kale have appreciable amounts.

The FDA has issued warning letters to several manufacturers advertising unauthorized health claims for treating diseases on the product labels and WEB Sites.

And they MUST say on advertisements that the supplement is not to diagnose or treat any disease. If a person is sick, it is far better to talk to a physician, not the supplement aisle. The exception would be nutrient deficiency like Vitamins or Iron.

For instance, researchers found that a civilization who lives by the ocean and eat only fish had no heart issues. They surmised that Fish Oil prevents heart problems. Within the last year, researchers had thousands take Fish Oil and thousands take a placebo. There was no difference, they STILL had heart issues after a few years. So, the Fish Oil study proved that taking Fish Oil does nothing other than give you Fish Belches (aka Fish Breath).

I used to take it and zillions of other vitamins all the time- like for 25 years! Then I went down to just a multi vitamin and Vitamin D3. Feel the same except I'm fat now.

Been taking it for a couple of years now. I've had severe allergies my entire life, resulting in sinus blockages and infections. Quercetin helps the sinus pressure somewhat. But what it really does for me is it reduces the deeply sunken eyes I get from the sinus symptoms.
