I'm looking for a nice, well-made bedroom set, and there are very few furniture stores nearby. Do you know any stores, or even better, several stores in one area that I could shop at? Maybe in Westchester, Danbury, or Long Island?

My personal favorite is Domain which has many locations in the areas you mentioned. Also try Ethan Allen and Thomasville which both make well-made furniture and also have several locations in the areas you listed. There are several areas on Long Island that have many of these stores within minutes of each other. You might want to take a look at the Macy's/Bloomingdales furniture Clearance Centers on Long Island. You can sometimes catch great sales there.

Not sure where you live, but there are a whole bunch of good quality furniture stores up on Route 1 in Orange, CT.

I also like Domain. I used to think the stuff in there was overpriced, but their prices seem to have come down in recent years. (Now, of course, I wonder if the quality is still the same!)

I have recently made a dining room table purchase, a living room set, and a sleigh bed all at Raymour and Flanigan. My husband just bought a sofa and loveseat in leather for his waiting room from them. It was just delievered yesterday and we thought it was good quality at a reasonable price. We bought the latest in the Danbury store.
