Puzzled by Marriott administrative fees

Hello.

I was looking at reservation fee table at Marriott Vacation Club and was puzzled by a few items.

1) Daily Use ---- $29.00: What does this mean? Does this mean I can book my stay for just one day seven times if I pay $29.00 each time?

2) Lock-off use --- $ 75.00 and split use --- $75.00: What's the difference between the two? Don't I have to "split" the lock-off unit?

3) Lastly, I cannot find a 'cancellation fee' item but there is a reservation change fee for $29.00. Does Marriott charge the same amount or more for a cancellation?

jhm: I think I can answer one of your questions: Lock-off is when you own a two bedroom unit and separate them into two units and reserve two different dates. Split use is when you use your two bedroom Friday-Sunday one time and Mon-Thursday another time. I am not sure if split use is available for one bedroom reserved.

The daily use fee is for only one location, Custom House. Read more about it here.

A cancellation and change fee are the same. If you end up cancelling you will end up making another reservation at some time so it really is a reservation change.
