Can anyone tell me if you purchase Wyndham Points from someone other than Wyndham, do you still have the other programs and amentities available to you (such as the VIP stuff, Plus Partners, Club Access, etc)? I've been told 'no' by Wyndham--the points can only be used for reservations at the resorts. I've been told 'yes' by others.

Generally, no, you will not receive all the developer perks, but you can still use them to travel to all wyndham resorts (assuming you have enough points). You will have ARP access (ability to reserve 13 months in advance) at the resort to which you points are tied. You can reserve everywhere else 10 months out. Plus Partners can be added to a resale purchase (contact corporate after transfer is complete) for something like $2495. Probably not worth the expense but available if you want it. VIP does not transfer on resale except to immediate family. VIP not worth the acquisition costs from the developer. It would take most owners decades of savvy VIP use just to break even. Most will probably not even do that. You will find much more information already posted here in the Wyndham forum. I encourage you to read up before making any purchase decisions.
