When you buy from the official resale office at CL, the points are elite qualifying. The best MF/pt are the 3 bed plat weeks but they are also the most expensive....but also the most points. The best elite level is elite premier which is, at least, 54,400 elite qualifying points. You can look in the HGVC portal and the elite page to see all the benefits but a quick summary is free booking, saving, converting to HH, depositing to RCI, and unlimited free guest certs, $250 lyft credit, access to other properties, upgrades when available with your HGVC reservations, 30% discount on OS, plus more....and you get access to DEX EU and II.
There are a number of us who have bought at CL for these benefits. There is no reason for AI with a bHC deed if you get EP. AI is just for free reservations so if you get EP, then you get that plus much more.
There are a number of TUG post, in this forum, about both CL and DEX EU.

The other thing to think about, when buying CL besides low MF/pt ownership, is using it in DEX EU. For it, then you need to understand how the tiers work and which units are which tiers to use them the most effectively. Even though a 3 bed plat week is the best MF/pt at CL, it isn't the best trader in DEX EU...because the system only goes to Tier 6. Both 2 bed plats and 3 bed plats are Tier 6 so you are paying too much when you exchange a 3 bed plat in the system, especially if you exchange for something less than a Tier 6...for example reserving a Tier 4 unit in Europe...that is why many of us have a mixture of 1 bed plats and 2 bed plats...for exchanges at different tiers. But, if your goal is EP and points in HGVC, primarily, then the 3 bed plat may be the best.
Also, look at the CL table in the DEX EU guide, attached, you want a Peak season week and then look at II...ideally, the week is also a high demand week for CL.
