We are going to Puerto Rico using an II Getaway. We were planning on Boqueron, but when I returned to II to purchase, I noticed another place just became available in Humacao. Boqueron is in the south-west of the island, Humacao is in the east, south of San Juan. We have visited San Juan before so exploring there is not important to us this time. This trip is to relax on the beach, and rent a Jeep to explore the rest of the island.
The two timeshares in question are:
Club Cala de Palmas (CCP) in Humacao - the old reviews on TUG are poor, but the most recent one, from an owner, in 2007, say they've been making major improvements. Has anyone stayed or visited more recently and could provide an update?
or
Aquarius Vacation Club® (AQB) at Boquerón Beach - no reviews on TUG at all.
One is a 3 BR, the other is a 2 BR (we're just a couple, so that doesn't matter), one costs 60% more than the other, but I'm more concerned with our vacation experience than the difference of $300. We want to visit Arecibo, Cascada La Mina at El Yunque, and the bioluminescent bay in Vieques or Ponce.
Thanks for you input!
