Puerto Rico airport salespeople???

Is the San Juan airport like Mexican ones? a huge gauntlet line to walk through of salespeople (literally) yelling at you?

Also, is there a shuttle service to outlying resorts? Or better to rent a car?

You'll want a car out at Rio Mar anyway. It's some fair distance out of town, and a really big (to me bigger than walking distance) resort. There are off-airport rental agencies with shuttles to/from the airport.

The San Juan airport is much more similar to U.S. airports than Mexican.

PR is one of my favorite places and I go there often. You will not encounter any salespeople at all.
