The property tax rate is about 1.2% of your purchase price.

Less than that, somehow, for timeshares. I paid $19k for the timeshare just before building started, and taxes this year were $123 on assessed value of $11,695. I think it was originally assessed at 60% of developer price, which leads me to believe that the OC assessor understands timeshares fairly well.
