I guess this is the improvement they were talking about when they said the website was being updated...

I presume the reason they have not fixed this sooner is that there is no money to be made in providing a better website for owners...it only has to be "good enough." In contrast, the hotel site will cause Hilton to lose revenue if it is not intuitive.
