I learned about 'Cloud Print' this week which enables you to print files from your Android phone. I set it up today on my HTC Thunderbolt and it worked like a charm.
Go to the Android Marketplace and download the free 'Cloud Print' App to your phone.
Now on your PC - if you don't already have the Chrome Browser - download the Chrome Browser.
Open Chrome and click on the Wrench icon in the upper Right Corner of the Screen. On the page that opens, click
'Options'. On the Left side of the screen, click 'Under the Hood'. Scroll down to 'Google Cloud Print' toward the bottom of the page and sign in with your usual Google account details. Click on 'Manage Printers' to find any printers connected to your computer and then do a test print to make sure everything is working without a hitch.
Cloud Print lets you print a variety of Files, ranging from documents to Text messages to eMails and drawings. Tap the file that you wish to print from the Cloud Print Menu. Some Android Apps will also let you print directly from them by going to the Share option and Selecting Print.
I had previously downloaded the free PrinterShare App but never could get it to work. It didn't recognize our home printer. I think I would have had to pay for their Pro version which contained a 'key' which would recognize our printer but I never purchased the Pro version.
