Prince Kuhio Celebration and West Side of Molokai Trip

Kim wanted to get out and about again so we went over to Kiowea Beach Park for the Prince Kuhio Celebration. They had great Music, Food and Crafts.

We haven't had a Shave Ice in years and this one was great. Kim also picked up a new hat and we got some Coconut Chai Fruit Salad for our picnic.

The ocean is getting calmer on the West side and there were only a couple surfers out.

We went to Popuhaku Beach Park for our picnic. There were about 5 cars there when we arrived but only 3 were left when we left. We expected more cars since it was a Saturday. Gotta love these Molokai crowds

There were a lot of people looking for the tourist who parked the rental SUV under the Coconut tree that was loaded with Coconuts.

It was a great day. Molokai has great little festivals or celebrations like this year round. They are just so local, it makes them all a unique experience. It's nice to see people we know know and be able to sit and talk with friends too. We never felt that as much on the other islands. It's what makes Molokai special to us.
