Has any used priceline for the hotels around the Grand Canyon? Trip advisor has five listed. Any info would be appreciated.

Denise:

I can't seem to open the sight. I not bidding of Priceline right now, but just thought for future use it would be handy. Can you check the site name and let me know if it is working.

Hotels outside Grand Canyon

My preference would be to stay inside the park, however, on my recent trip (just returned Friday), I was not able to get accommodations there. I booked our rooms at the Red Feather Lodge, just outside the park on Highway 64 (near IMAX Theatre). There is also a Holiday Inn Express there. Our rooms were fine. We had two queen beds in each room, very clean, and the staff was most accommodating. We asked to be moved to a handicap room for my mom (92 years old) and they accommodated us the next morning, as nothing was available that night. We paid $164.00 per night per room, which is about the same as we paid last spring in the park at the Maswik Lodge. I don't know if you can get anything in that area on Priceline. I did not try. The other option outside the park would be to drive to Williams, Az. I think it is about 70 miles away, but not sure. But we just wanted to stay closer for seeing the park, sunsets, etc. It was just more convenient.
