I see MVCI Spain is offering preview packages to prospects, $299 Euros for 3 nights 4 days (other than high season) and free car rental (hire as they say). Does MVCI have standing invitations like this in the US? I've always thought there was some sort of "magic" as to who ever gets an offer? Didn't think one could just get one?

Has anyone heard of these in the US?

We received this offer even though we own in Spain and elsewhere.
I have no idea why, but I wondered if there was any connection with weeks still being sold in Europe.

Yes, you need to call MVCI and ask to transfer to the marketing line. Our friends who already own a MVC Hawaii week call MVCI annually to add 3 to 5 nights to their vacation in Hawaii by buying one of these packages.

I was told you can only buy 1 per year.

This is how we got into Marriott Ownership, a friend gave our name and we went on a preview trip to Marbella, it’s 269€ for 3 nights plus car hire. They always ask me for names of friends who would be up for it to!

Yes, they are common. Often called "Encore" packages.

Encore is when you go to a presentation and you decline to buy, they offer you an encore, had many of those. But to use it as an owner for a source of cheap nights as vacationforever indicated, that's a new one to me! That's why I asked.

Encore is something different. These are called sales preview trips.

Golfed today with a guy, non-owner, staying at Marriott Kauai for $899 for the week on one of these marketing packages. He got phoned with the offer after a hotel stay.

Going to MOW 5/1 for a four day three night stay free of charge for attending a presentation to explain the Marriott/Vistana merger! Sure thing. I’m sure they are not going to try and convert us to points since we already own two weeks at MOW! We can deal with a couple hours of being annoyed for what basically ends up being a free house hunting trip for us. Going to pull the trigger on something in Barefoot Resort this time down.
