California
Resorts Owned
HGVC, MVC Vistana
We received an offer of a 2 night no presentation offer for one of the properties below(mostly former Diamond but rep told me works at HGV properties in the location subject to availability e.g. Elara). Must be used within 12 months. The rep said that many HGVC owners use this to add to their points stays. This was offered in addition to HH points as a "gift" for attending a presentation. Anyone ever taken advantage of this offer?

Branson
Daytona Beach
Lake Tahoe
Las Vegas (which HGVC?)
Orlando
Palm Springs (include Embarc?)
Scottdale
Sedona (which properties?)
Williamsburg

Would love to know the answer to these questions:

  1. Which HGVC properties? Real world availability.
  2. What size room? studio? 1 bdrm? 2 bdrm?
  3. Since this is a no preso stay offered as a gift for attending a presentation, can you gift it to a relative or friend?

This "no preso offer" sounds like a new offer for timeshare presos using (mostly packaged from former DRI). Need some data points on real experiences and whether it is worthwhile.

TIA for your DPs.

Lips are moving...
skeptical
likely will make one attend another presentation at that promo stay but defer to those who did bite...

We received one of those. I called and made a reservation and had to make a refundable deposit of $100. I also had to agree to a sales presentation even though we were told we wouldn’t need to do one. You get one free change and then it’s $19.95 for any changes after that. The original reservation was for a 1BR at a former Diamond resort even though it is supposed to be a studio. I called to make a date change and there isn’t anything for our new date except a hotel room. I was told to wait until closer to check in as more inventory will be released. I was also told that the deposit is only refundable if you travel, not if you completely cancel. So, one can take a chance and see what you get.
