Massanutten's resort fee especially during the off season and a combination of COVID and off season when there aren't enough resort activities to justify the additional charges still annoys me.

I was thinking about trying a sister resort in Virginia, the Presidential Resort at Chancellorsville to avoid the resort fee. Not so. This resort also has implemented a $10.60 per day resort fee (reduced by 20% to $61.60 for a 7 night stay).

Definitely not worth it for an off season stay. I may consider it for a late summer getaway but disappointed that the year round resort fee applies at a resort for the normal type of activities that are normally included with most timeshares.

Yes we we were at massanutten this past week and we’re charged the resort daily fee.

I got charged in August at Mass. Since we were on a $319 getaway, I didn't mind too much.

Wow! We were supposed to go to the Presidential Resort at Chancellorsville in September but had to cancel due to the border closure. Before I booked I carefully checked for any resort or other fees, as I always do, and there were none listed on the RCI website. I don't mind paying a little extra for Wi-Fi but $61.60 for a week (we were booked in for 12 days so it would have been a lot more) is crazy. The only amenity we usually use is the Wi-Fi unless our adult daughter joins us, then she uses the pool. I'll be crossing the Presidential Resort off our list, as I have already done with Massanutten! :(

Maybe they can now afford to clean the bottom of their indoor pool and repaint it. Bet they don’t stop charging the fee for boat rentals.
