Presentation Gift at Marriott Empire Place Bangkok

We are set to stay at Marriott Empire Place 3BR next week. Just got a email invite for the 60-90 mins presentation. It will be at the new gallery inside W hotel nearby. They will pick us up with limousine and we will have the presentation while enjoying the complimentary afternoon tea. The gift will be 25k Marriott points, $100 GC or Thai cooking class at Blue Elephant. I will probably pick 25k points. Have any of the tuggers stay there before and went to the presentation? What gift did they offer you? How was the afternoon tea?

I would decline but the 25K points would seem to be the best option of those.

25K points is the bear minimum I would accept to go to any presentation and only then if I have some free time and no other plans. I would likely decline in this case. I'm sure there is a better use of your time on vacation in Thailand!

I thought they were giving more points this year because it is MVC's 40th anniversary. I was just offered 50,000 at Los Suenos.

It varies based on the particular sales office and also based on the individual owner.

We were offered 40K points again here at Westin Princeville. That is a great number of points but can I talk Rick into it? I don't think so.

I love this format. I’m so tired of of getting phone calls, endless voicemails, to come to presentations. I would really love to politely decline by email. Our last visit, they even called my husband, which they never did in the past.

An update for the presentation. We ended up still going to the presentation because I am so curious about the afternoon tea

There was 6 of us and they arranged 2 cars to drive us to W Bangkok. The afternoon tea was really nice, and there were enough food for all of us. We spent roughly 2 hours there, mostly with me going back and forth with the salesperson. He wanted to enroll all of my external weeks for $100k, along with 2M Marriott points and another Chairman status for my wife. We think one Chairman is doing just fine so we said no. No encore package talks since it's only 1 person team.

Btw Asia points do have a much lower MF per point (like 50 cents). How do they do that?
