I read on another site that a fully double-blind, large scale trial, was underway for the following - placebo, HCQ, and HCQ + zinc + Zithromycin.

The interesting thing is that it was to run until July.

The trial is going to be shortened until end of May.

Now this could mean one of three things - 1.) Not enough volunteers. (not very likely). 2.) There is enough data to show the trial failed. (However, when a trial is clearly failing, and morbidity/mortality is involved, the trial is usually stopped immediately, once the correlation is seen. (Ethics.) or 3.) The people behind the trial are seeing large positive results, and ethics (once again) come into play. The trial is stopped and the positive results are made public, to allow people to be treated as soon as possible.
