And it’s amazing how they have to shove a swab stick way up into your nose for the test, yet if you breathe within 6 feet of someone you could infect them if you have the virus.

I think that it will be a major issue if immunity from a Covid-19 vaccine is short lived, especially if the vaccine has adverse effects. It's an issue that I've not seen discussed a lot in the press. We're used to the long term immunity that most of our existing vaccines provide. Influenza vaccination is yearly, but I think people understand that influenza viruses mutate and are different each year.

From the above article:

NIAID director Anthony Fauci and other experts have said it is very likely that the immune system will remember the virus if re-exposed later on, and then produce new antibodies.

I hope he's right about that. (There's something called memory T-cells. Think of them as sentries or lookouts that can call for a rapid response. Even if Covid-19 antibodies are not detectable, you're probably OK so long as you have Covid-19 memory T-cells.) But if not, I'm concerned that some people who have the vaccine initially just won't return for Covid-19 revaccination if it turns out that this is required to maintain sufficient immunity. If that happens, the degree of herd immunity could decline over time and potentially lead to repeat outbreaks.
