What is a Preferred Room at Saratoga Springs?

Congress Park and the Springs sections are preferred. They are closer to the main building.

And some of Congress Park has the remodeled rooms.

Springs is closer to the main building.

Congress is closer/walkable to Disney Springs.

I have seen pictures of the remodeled room. Wish we were getting those next month, but we are exchanging this time, so probably not.

We stayed in a preferred room last year and the location was awesome. Within a reasonable walking distance to the main building. Having stayed in non-preferred rooms a couple times (including last week) we have decided that preferred is the best option. Ended up using a lot of Lyft and Uber rides during non-preferred stay. We use Disney transportation for everything else including to and fro the airport.

I have stayed in preferred rooms twice and non-preferred twice. Our preferred rooms in Congress Park were a quick walk to Disney Springs and had a great view of the Springs, but a long walk to the main pool and main building.

We last stayed in The Paddock, which I actually preferred as it seemed closer to the main pool and the Paddock pool is also nice. The bus situation was better as well as it was one of the first stops and it increases your chances of getting a seat.

Saratoga Springs is such a sprawling resort everywhere you stay will have some pros and cons. Still, it's lovely, just be prepared to walk -- or ride the bus.

We were there in October on exchange. Ended up next to the Paddock Pool, snack bar and bus stop, across the bridge from main stuff. Fantastic location, not preferred.
