For my exchange into Grande Vista Dec 6, I'd like to be in a location by a preferred pool. Does anyone have a recommendation? From the resort map, it looks like buildings 80 or 81 by the Village Center Institute pool would be nice, but I'd appreciate anyone's experience. Are the other pools relatively small?
Thanks,

Roy

Thanks, Big Max, Would that be buildings 79 & 84? Is this new pool (Westside Village pool) preferred over the Village Center pool?

77 is brand new, but far from everything (except the tennis courts)

80, and 81 are right by the main pool, but there is always too much foot traffic and noise for me.

I prefer the newer pool because of the proximity to the bar/grill and because it overlooks the lake.

Does anyone have a Point-of-contact (preferably email address) for the rooms controller at Grande Vista, in order to make a villa location request?
Thanks

I found that a request I made didn't help. We made a request for a specific building. We arrived early and they called their room control person and they assigned us a building as far from everything that I wanted. When I indicated that I would wait for my preferred building they were accomodating.

I think they call their room control dept for each visitor to have a room assigned. So if there are no rooms ready in your requested area when you arrive, tell them you will wait and you may get it.

Call them two weeks out and find out when they assign the rooms. Call right after that and make sure you got what you wanted. They generally switch it. Don't wait until you get there or you are at the mercy of whoever is in charge at the moment. I've seen people begging for buildings at the front desk, and sometimes they just can't get what they want. It's fairly pathetic to watch in all honesty.
