sadly the answer to this every time is "it depends".... is there a loan still attached? just defaulting on maint fees?

Hi Brian, no loans all paid off some 20 years now , just maintenance fees..I posted on Eastern USA posts and got nice info..thanks for the help. Do not care about credit agencies and that seems is all they do in Florida, or can do...tks, Bill

Have updated info. Out of 5 MF defaults for VV (including Grandview, Parkway, and Weston), 1 got reported to the credit agencies, but that was for a TS mortgage loan default. Hope things go well.

I will let you know! We wrote VV back at the beginning of the year telling them we wish to relinquish the timeshare due to high maintenance fees and that we have not actually visited in 12 years (as well as other personal reasons). They wrote back to say that we could do this if we paid the legal fess - but they did not say how much that would be. We have not replied to any of their correspondence since and we have received a letter from a collection agency. As we live in the UK, we're not concerned that they will be able to demand payment or that it will affect our credit rating. It's not a huge amount owed (less than $1500) so can't see it being worth their while trying to reclaim it from us here in the UK especially in these times of pandemic.. ..but I shall keep you posted.

How did this end up getting resolved? Did they just hassle you and then the issue was dropped? Any exit fees paid? VV MF's have gotten ridiculously expensive.
