I am wondering if any Tuggers have been in the audiences, crowds, surrounding the papal visit.

I saw all the Port-A-Potties lined up on the streets and bridges when I was there last weekend. Does that count? :D

We saw Pope Francis in Rome twice in June! Both times just stumbled upon events. He is wonderful!

Sure wish I was there! Just missed him by 2 hours in Rome when we were there in 2013! We took a tour off the cruise ship.....our friends decided to take the train into Rome....went to St. Peter's square ....walked in and there he was right in front of them. He is a very humble man and hopefully will be able to make a difference in this world so full of people with evil and hatred in their hearts.

A gentle suggestion: please discuss this topic in regards to a famous public figure coming to the US, and let's not wander off into politics or religion.

Seems impossible.

My thoughts are that aside from the true followers, it all seems surreal; more like a Taylor Swift concert, a social media event, run of the mill celebrity sighting, or any other "everyone else" is following and thinks its great so I should too. At times the media coverage is a bit bizarre when you put it all in context.

Far from what he represents.

My daughter who is a musician graduated from Catholic University and was invited back to play at the Mass at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. She said it was one of the happiest moments of her life. We are SO happy she was invited, She said she will never forget the experience! :)

I was there and I am not Catholic. It was awesome. A tremendous experience that would benefit anyone. People were so respectful and excited and happy. I'm still on cloud 9.

Does it count if you saw a video from someone who was there? My niece was in NY along the parade route - she said they stood for hours and he went by very quickly but she'd do it again. In her video she's about 10 deep in the crowd but for those quick seconds of him going by he's visible above the crowd.

I'm amazed at the schedule he kept, impressed with his stamina.

Is that true Pope Francis has one lung?

Differing reports, but most reports that I've read refer to the Pope as having only one.

ABC News reports him as having one lung as do Time & Forbes. I heard this repeated several times during CNN coverage as well.

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/health/2013/03/13/new-pope-had-lung-removed-during-childhood/

http://www.forbes.com/sites/robertg...implications-for-future-health-and-longevity/

http://healthland.time.com/2013/03/13/why-pope-francis-only-has-one-lung/

https://www.google.com/#q=pope+francis+and+lung

Yahoo news reports it more as a lobectomy of sorts.

Either/or - Pneumonectomy v. lobectomy, his stamina is impressive.

I have 3 Jesuit/S.J. cousins and second cousins. They are fascinating.

I really like this Pope for many reasons but mainly because his main message is love. His words and presence seems to touch many. People were tearing up just from seeing him.

Anyway, Pope Francis has a new album coming up called "Wake Up".

Here is the song "Wake Up". You can hear Pope Francis singing or rapping or just talking ? , idk, after about 2 minutes in.
