recently on my plane ride home from visiting the grandkids, i was browsing the SKYMALL magazine and noticed 2 different kinds of fully decorated POP UP CHRISTMAS TREES being offered. 1 was by THOMAS KINCAID(sp) and the other from HAMMACHER SCHLEMMER(SP). I was wondering if anyone has/seen these trees, what they look like in person, and how easy are they to put up, take down, and store? kinda expensive but they seem to be very convenient..... ANYONE???
TIA

I can't comment because I don't have one but thank you for posting this. This would be great for our cottage. We usually go up between Christmas and new years and it would be so great to pop-out a tree! This is a really great idea but I wonder how they look up close.

We got one from Frontgate. The top third pops off. The bottom flips upside down with a foot pedal. The whole thing has a cover that makes it the size of a gas grill when stored. It is on wheels. When you put it up, you press the foot pedal and flip it. It has lights preattached but we put on our own ornaments.

My wife bought a 7ft three piece pop up on sale a couple of years ago. It takes her 5 minutes to set the tree up. It has white lights pre-installed.

Then once its up it seems like it takes 30 minutes for her and the grandkids to decorate. After the grandkids leave it takes her another few hours throughout the Christmas season adjusting things.

It take about 10 minutes to take it apart and put everything away. I think she bought it at Target for $100 on a half off sale. Thats the story Im told anyway.
