Pool Finally Completed After Two Years Living Here

Time certainly does fly. It really seems like yesterday that I was posting about being here a year. I arrived on Oahu on July 27th 2019 and my wife followed on August 31st.

I remember walking the apartment building with the property manager and her telling me about the pool and that they expected it to be done soon. I have been here two years and it just got done this week. I had heard it had been closed for almost a year before I moved here.

I don’t know what took so long but here it is. It’s on the roof of the parking ramp at our complex. This picture is a little deceiving because it looks like the grass is by the pool but that is the park that is across the street. The pool is on the 8th Floor and I took this picture from the 26th floor.

Great pool! And yes, time does fly. I'm sure Covid had a lot to do with the delay. Glad it's finally done!

We first went to Marriott Ko Olina twelve years ago and the vacation club salesman said they were going to start on the new tower soon. Still no new tower.

Made it down to the pool today. I had it all to myself for most of the time. Then only two other people. They did a great job. Hot tub was nice too.

After the pool and laundry we headed down to Kalo for a great dinner.

I had the Miso Seabass and my wife had the Pineapple Curry Lobster. We had some Kalbi Ribs to start and some Garlic Noodles with our meal. Of course they started us out with Taro Rolls with Lilikoi butter. Then we finished off with my favorite dessert. White Chocolate Gelato Truffle Heart with Raspberry and Guava Puree for dessert. We washed it all down with Mai Tai's and Plantation Tea.

It was a great night to eat outside. Seems a little less crowded so far this weekend.

Taro rolls and Lilikoi butter. Oh, man. What's not to like? I don't normally eat much bread, but this might get a guy to change his habits.

The Rolls and that sweet and tart Lilikoi butter are always a great start to any meal we have there.
