I have had unit H101 for week 36 at Pono Kai for many years. It is all paid for and only the current maintenance is outstanding. Is this (sleeps 10) facing the ocean unit worth anything? Long term lease? Sell outright? Cost for selling at Pono Kai?

If anyone can help me with the reality of these issues would be a godsend. Thanks. Lief

One often-mentioned suggestion here on TUG to figure out what your TS is worth resale is to log in to E-Bay and look for completed listings for similar TSs and see what they sold for.

It might not be a bad idea to contact the resort broker at Pono Kai.

We own at Hollywood Sands where the broker representing the resort consistently sells prime winter resales for about $5000 or more even though a week 4 sold for $100 on ebay.

Thanks very much, Lanny and Roger for those ideas. I will post back what I find out.

I wouldn't pay much for it. I just love Pono Kai and actually owned there for several years, but we decided to sell because we love Shearwater more, but all I could get for the top-level units was $500, when we sold them. Keep that in mind.

Hi all, Pono Kai does not do anything for resale or take-backs. A nice person from Pohaka (sp) returned my call and suggested ARDA-ROC as a resource or ForSaleByOwner. Are there any comments or experiences with either of those organizations? ARDA-ROC seems to want to put you with a reseller.

When we bought helicopter ride tickets there in 2015, we were asked if we wanted to go to a sales presentation which we declined.

Also, in April I was under the impression that there was a still a salesman there.
