points returned?

I am waiting for some 2015 points to go into my account. Wydham says they will be in my account within 24 hours. However, I am trying to book some Christmas reservations. Do you find the points are going back to 2016 if you borrow points from 2016 and then cancel the reservation?

Thinking of borrowing 2016 just for booking tonight and then canceling and rebooking when my points come in.

your points should be there now you just dont see them till you try to make a reservation.

Should go back to 2016. Nothing is for sure though.
