Points Reservation Question

Hope all is well with you.

We will be leaving shortly for 15 nights at Windjammer Landing. I can't Wait !!!

Brought to mind a question regrading points reservations of greater than 7 days length. I seem to remember reading for weeks resorts that RCI notifies resorts about 10 days in advance of check-in. Since we are staying longer than a week, I wanted to contact WJL to see what we could possibly do about staying in one unit. No sence calling before they have our information.

Questions:
When does RCI notify the resort with a list of names?
Is it different for weeks and points?
And do they know at that time that it is for longer than 7 days, i.e. 15 in this case?


P.S. - I was just searching online and noticed that Residences at the Crane does not show up in the drop down list of Points Resorts when searching points. As this is my favorite Points resort, please tell me this is just a computer glich and have it fixed. But I did see inventory when searching points as Barbados.

I would call the immediately and make the request. You certainly have nothing to lose by doing so.

RCI provides resorts with weekly activity reports for both Weeks and Points transactions, regardless of the length of stay (although the length of stay is indicated). Each resort is different with regard to its timing for providing front desk staff with inbound guest information. I would suggest verifying with the Communications Team and just be sure to take your RCI confirmation with you.

Residences at the Crane (6390) is still an RCI Points-affiliated resort.
