Points for Single Night Stays?

We are members of both II and RCI, with our home resort being Welk San Diego. In terms of week long stays, we are very happy.

However, we have friends and family in areas that are underserved by timeshares: Dallas, TX and Omaha, NE.

Is there a point system which would allow us to utilize hotels in each of those areas?

One further complication: I am phobic about flying, so our trips tend to be by auto. Thus it would be helpful to have a point system that would allow us one night stays in hotels as we drive.

Any suggestions?

Worldmark may have places to stay on the way, but it isn't very economical. You would have to pay housekeeping for each stay. So, if you did 3 night in 3 different resorts, that would be 3 housekeeping fees.

If you are planning only one night stays, you may be better off just paying for a hotel.

You know, I forgot about housekeeping fees. That's a really good point.

If we wanted to stay one or two weeks in Dallas or Omaha, is there a system that would be good for us? Of course, I'd like to buy re-sale, so I think that Marriott is out.
