Capital Vacations told us we could use our points for cruises. As a new owner, I have not been able to get further info on this.
Does anyone have any insight or experiences with this?
Many thanks.

I have heard of Capital Vacations, but don't know much about them. I am more familiar with Marriott and Hilton Vacations; both offer options to use your points for things like cruises. You usually have to call the owner services team to make a booking. The value of doing this with both Marriott and Hilton is not very good, so you're usually better off just using your timeshare points for timeshares.

Any timeshare exchange for a cruise only benefits one party!- The timeshare outfit. They only exchange into 'limited'- low demand cruises, and give marginal discounts- NOT direct exchanges- from FULL RETAIL pricing. You're far better paying a cruise consolidator like vacationstogo or crucon and booking there. Use your timeshare points for timeshare stays. ONLY.

Discount cruising, much better value than using timeshare points
Yes; thank you, SmithOp, that's what I'm discovering. It has been taking a lot of research to confirm this because the industry does not make related information easily available.

Also- Passepartout, your inputs are always appreciated. It took a lot of digging but found that my trial cruise itineraries only marginally seemed to save money with points. Obviously better to use for stay at properties.
