Does anyone know if you can use points to stay the MVCI properties? I'm on the Marriott website and its not letting me select the MVCI property(only hotel properties). I'm wondering if its just that the date is not available or something else.

You can book a stay using points, but it is very difficult to find availability! What location are you looking for?

I concur. Many of the timeshares seem to have no points availability any time during the year. Also, you must order with this point structure and you are supposed to use points other than those you obtained by trading in the annual use of your timeshare. You cannot use a hotel certificate (category 1-7 under the current system) or the hotel portion of a Travel Package for timeshare points stays.

Possible but slim. I've looked multiple times over the last few years and haven't had any luck until I recently struck gold with 5 nights at Waiohai (2BR) for 125K. Not sure where you're looking, but I recommend being as broad as possible. In my case, I searched for all Hawaii properties in the respective time frames I was seeking. It pulled both hotels and MVCI properties. I also was able to grab an additional 5 nights at the Lahaina Towers in Maui, but only for a studio (75K). Both short weeks are in March 09, the 11-16 and 16-21. Ko Olina was showing up available as well. Not sure if its a result of decreased bookings or dumb luck, but I'm not complaining.

Thanks for all the replies.

I'm looking for Villas at Doral during second week September 2009. Let me know if anyone has ideas.
