Just wanted to let people know something about DC Point Rental. Transfers must be increments of 25 points. I ended up with a strange balance of points when I booked Kauai Lagoons on one of the 55% discounted rates last year. Ended up with 15 points remaining and banked. All reservations (except discounted ones) are in multiples of 25.

I found someone on Greg’s Point Site to rent some points for a reservation I was making. I needed 185 points. When the person I contracted with for the 185 points tried to transfer them, Marriott advised that they would only transfer points in increments of 25. The seller went ahead and transferred 200 points.

I made my reservation and still have 15 points, which are basically useless but I still love the ability to rent points. That feature alone has made DC worht the money!

Really when they offer these discounts, they should round to the nearest 25 points (probably up). It doesn't help to have those 15 points anyway unless you can get another discounted rate at some point.

Sorry to hear about the 15 points -- but I concur completely -- the ability to rent/transfer points was the reason that I enrolled in DClub.

I'm glad that it worked out for you!

Best,

Greg
