How cold was it there in March? If my experience in 2025 at the Welk was any guide, not that warm really.

This March 2026 there was a heat wave in this area. I think it was close to 90 or maybe even a bit warmer for a couple of days. The entire week was warm. We headed to Pismo Beach next and it was a lot cooler weather wise.

Not a timeshare, but from our front porch. Has been hot and humid the last couple of days and this evening starts the beginning of bike week. Non stop roar of motorcycles will make it tough to sleep the next couple of nights until we can escape to a Smuggs rental (through First Chair- formerly managed by Vacasa) in Vermont.

Not sure why my photos come out blurry on TUG, but if you click on it you will see it in focus and in vibrant color.

Oak N Spruce HICV in Lee MA. Unit 295 in Bld 17. Not much of a view, though I question if any have one really.

I like that view. Way better than some we have had. I had one view of a roof that was called a city view and another that was a view of the lobby parking lot that was called mountain view. They weren't lying, I could see part of the city and part of a mountain, lol.

Ok. So we are at Smugglers Notch Resort in Owls unit 6 in the North Hill section- a 3 bedroom Presidential Rental from First Chair (a Vacasa unit that changed hands only 2 weeks ago), but we booked last year, and it’s absolutely awesome! HUGE with a 4 season room, fireplace in living and master bedroom, 3 bathrooms, great kitchen, nice big tv in the living room and also in bedrooms. Windows everywhere. Top notch!

This is the view from the master bedroom balcony this evening after we checked in. As usual you need to click on the photo attached to view it correctly.

again, not quite balcony but off the sun deck of AmaBella going through the Iron Gorge in Bulgaria on one side and Romania on the other. Two Time Zones! Go figure? We kept our watches/devices on Central European Time through here, then changed to Eastern European Time when we got top Romania. Fwiw, King Decebalus. From 1st Century. In this area, the Danube River is only about 530 feet wide, but is nearly 400feet deep!

I liked that photo 4 fishing line and a large fishing net
Actually, the guy had 5 lines in the water. He had a pail of live minnows. He was tied up to the same dock as ours, and seemed fairly permanent. I tried to strike up a conversation, but he didn't speak English and I don't do Bulgarian or Romanian.

Malad, Idaho My mom's property. We think this barn was built in 1900. Still standing but barely. I have a pic of it in 1918 in winter I will try to find and post.

George (I love MOLOKIA, HI.)
