Hi:
I purchased in Bonnet Creek pre construction back in 2004. I haven't used any of my points. I'm told I lost 2 years worth. Has anyone had sucess in recovering or know someone inside Fairfield with whom I can discuss this issue?

Thanks,Gras

No and No.

Now I'm not the most ardent Fairfield point proponent, but I really have to question as to why you think you should be able to recover points.

Ignorance, inattention, death in the family, dog ate the paperwork doen't cut it with me. We all cope with such things and at least attempt to use the points.

Not the reply I'm sure you were hoping for.

You could call owner relations at FF; however, I really don't think they will let you regain use of your lost points. Perhaps you should focus on how to get the most out of this year's points before it becomes too late.

I don't know of any timeshare that will "give you back" expired points. Ultimately, those points represent nights at a resort. If the points aren't used by their expiration date, the corresponding resort nights may have gone unused. In the resort business, a night that a room sits empty is a night that's lost forever.

True, true, true . . .

. . all of the aforementioned is pretty much true and your points have most probably been lost . . .. but hey, sit down, write a letter, make a phone call, it is worth a try . . . .how much would your points be worth? $500, $1000,...

well, take a few moments and if you can make headway you "may" get something back..... now some of the tuggers will know that I am not a huge points fan and even less of the RHC points system, but I like to think of myself as a reasonable person (most of the time :) ) as most of us do . . . and I have to say that on two occasions, (yes I am swallowing hard here folks) RHC allowed us to pass some points thats """should have been lost""" when we confirmed a booking for the year to come.

So maybe if you try that tactic it could work.

Just my 2cents worth.
