Going to Oahu (only 2 night stay) to see Pearl Harbor. We will not have a car so we are looking for a tour. We are not interested in the all day tour but we do want to see all the highlights of Oahu, especially Pearl Harbor. I do not like to tour on the large Motor Coach, would prefer the smaller vehicles such as 8 to 12 persons. So many company's offering tours, and I read several but how do you choose? Some don't even list what type of vehicle they provide. What was your experience and what company would you suggest? Thanks

Almost all of the tours go to the same sights. I would base it on price per hour (i.e. price of tour divided by the number of hours of the tour and choose the lowest hourly price).

You don't say what days of the week you'll be there but we really liked The
Home of the Brave Tour. You can Google it. They use small shuttle buses and
They stop off for lunch. It's all WWII history but we loved it. It includes Pearl
Harbor and they take care of everything for you but it's only Monday through
Friday so if your there over the weekend this won't be an option.

We really liked the Home of the Brave Tour too! We loved the private tours that get you on base, behind the scenes, and lunch at the Officer's Club. We loved it when a high ranking officer came out to speak to our group. They take you in a van, and our guide had a Masters in History. Just be aware that it's focus is the areas of the island involved in WWII, but you will see a lot of the historic sites that way. http://pearlharborhq.com/

Throughout the day you will hear interesting and historical facts about the events leading up to the attack on Pearl Harbor, as well as during, and after World War II, while visiting The Arizona Memorial,
Wheeler Air Field,
Schofield Army Barracks,
Fort Shafter,
Punchbowl National Memorial, &
Home of the Brave Museum.

Thank you so much for your help. I will look into your suggestions. Our days are Thursday and Friday so it looks like we'll be fine for the trip.
