We are going to Saratoga Springs in Orlando with my elderly mother-in-law--which is the best area to request? Any tips on Saratoga Springs and how to get cheap car rentals? thanks so much.

We like to request a view of Downtown Disney. The lights are very nice at night and it is an easy walk to Downtown Disney. We could see fireworks in the distance at night. We've enjoyed our stays at Saratoga Springs and wish the same for you.

Karen,

I'm an SSR owner. I would think perhaps the Springs area would work well for you. That is the section closest to the Main building. To get to Downtown Disney the boat dock is there also. The Grandstand area is the newest and the second closest to the Main buidling.

I've never stayed in the Springs, we enjoy Congress Park(about a 5 min walk to DTD).

I would agree that a location in the Springs, Congress Park and the Grandstand areas will put you closest to the main building. The Springs section is nearest the main pool, while the Grandstand has a decent size pool and a splash pad play area for kids. Congress Park also has its own pool.

I've stayed in 3 different areas and never had a problem with any location in the resort. There are bus stops throughout the resort to catch buses to the parks and for intra-resort travel.

I have an exchange there in January. When's the best time to request the view? at check in or ahead of time?

Both---call Member Services to note your request. Then, mention it again ("If you could, we'd really like to be in the <whatever> section...") when you check in.
