Bought 2br,2bth TS through RCI @ 9,900.00. Got two bonus weeks and 47,000.00 points every other year. Closing fees, first year fees and maintance paid by them, vip membership, deed once paid off. Also, daily reservations at rci resorts only with a cost of 1 night @ 39, 2 @59 and etc... Does anyone know if you have to use or have points to take advantage of booking rooms at that price. Listed as week 12, even years, red season, silver points and said it was just for the paperwork and could use any week in the year. Any one have any knowledge on this information and did we get a good year. I have two days to still recind. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

You bought a Daly manged resort that is affiliated with RCI Points (you did not buy through RCI as they don't sell resorts). You paid far more - by at least 50% and maybe as high as 90% - than you would for RCI Points on resale.

It sounds like you are still within your right to cancel (rescind) period. Take advantage of that and follow the steps - exactly - and rescind the "deal". You are paying far too much.

Once owned these: FirstFairway@Walden X 2; Lawai Beach; ManhattanClub; PuebloBonitoRose; 4 South Africa--now timeshare-free
By all means, rescind NOW while you still have the chance. You have just this one opportunity to rescind. Afterward, do lots more research on what you can buy on the resale market.

The deal you bought will still be there later, no matter what the salesman told you, but you will be a much more informed buyer after you have educated yourself. If you still think it's a good deal for you, then go for it.

It's better not to try to finance a timeshare deal. If you can't afford to pay cash for it now, it's probably not a good deal for you. Timeshares are very easy to buy but very, very difficult to sell if you get in a bind financially later.

Rescind Immediately.

And be prepared for a followup phone call or two from the "manager" who is surveying you as to why you are cancelling the "deal" of a lifetime. And who only wants to educate you on why this is such a bad decision OR who is going to see what it would take to make this happen because you are so (beautiful, nice, relative, smart, fun, his type of person, intelligent).

Don't answer the phone or return the call! You don't need to talk to them to cancel this contract; your WROTE & SENT the "rescind letter". If you did the rescind letter wrong, they would NOT be calling you as they knew they had your money. My good friend was told by the "manager" on his call, "If you don't hear me out, I will delay refunding your money to the credit card company and you will be paying interest on that money until I have talked to you".

Contracts are written; cancellation was written; you can only weaken your legal position if you are recorded "verbally" agreeing to "whatever". And you don't need another "high pressure" sales pitch.
