What do people think about these recent prices on Ebay? Do you think they will pass ROFR...especially since Mariott has plenty of inventory to sell at Ocean Palms? Anyone ever deal with redweek4less?

For $7550...Oceanfront 2BR Platinum:

For $5600....Oceanfront 2BR Platinum:

Well, if they make it thru the ROFR process then i think the buyers got a very good buy. Oceanfront Villas are hard to come by, and Marriott may be scooping these up.....

These two auctions have the exact same seller and unit description (deed week and unit #). Either there were TWO separate weeks for sale and the same description was a mistake OR the $7550 winner backed out and it was relisted where it subsequently sold for even less.

Noticed that too...not sure what to make of that. Might be the seller had 2 weeks to sell and so the agent (redweek4less) used the same template for both auctions.....or, as you said, one of the parties in the 1st auction backed down and thus a new auction was held with a lower $$ outcome.

I would exercise caution with trying to purchasing a week from the seller redweeks4less. There have been a number of threads on TUG about this seller and some people having bad experiences (very long closing times, incorrect/misleading information in the listings, etc).

I was interests in the Marriott Manor Club
platinum week they listed for $1.00 a few days ago. They had the listing as weeks 13-43 & 48. Well the actual season is 13-43 & 48 - 52. I emailed them about it and they did confirm the 2nd half of the platinum season being 48-52. Again, there have been number of threads on this board documenting similar issues with inaccurate listings from these guys.

The other big issue people have noted is the closing company these guys use as being the real bottleneck.

I walked away from the Manor Club
Deal an I see it actually sold for $130. If it was with a note seller, I would have been all over it but decided it would not be with the potential hassle with delays and other unexpected surprises.
