We are in process of filing a lawsuit against Platinum Interchange for breach of contract, consumer fraud, theft, conversion, and other related and ancillary charges. Depending on how many consumers are impacted, this may be certified as a class action lawsuit.

If you have experienced problems with Platinum Interchange, including but not limited to, the company not allowing you to exchange, or in some manner restricting the exchange of your deposited week; not allowing you access to your account information; not allowing you to use a bonus week; or not allowing you to purchase a short-notice "hot week", any of which led to loss of your deposit or other (financial) impact, please send us a private message with a summary of your experience.

Any explanation as to why they froze your account? Were you renting out exchanges and/or hot weeks?

Can you explain the basis for your lawsuit and provide the attorney's contact information? Who is "we?" Anybody can threaten lawsuits but they're a colossal waste of time and money if handled incorrectly.

(Does this have anything to do with your rental business and/or with the number of rentals you've placed on TUG since registering less than three months ago?)

I'd like to hear the specific details as Platinum Interchange always did exactly what they promised with me.

I don't know about anybody else but this kind of "click bait" posting drives me bonkers! And it should come with a warning ...

If there's a legitimate basis that's well-documented and supported by folks who have some expertise in the field, it's all well and good to use TUG and other social media sites to promote a lawsuit. TUG has experts familiar with all facets of timesharing who are usually happy to help by delving into the issue and the governing docs. Have at it, and best of luck to you!

But if not, if you're just ticked off that you got caught breaking the rules (which IMO is what this situation appears to be,) why drag all kinds of folks into a manufactured drama without at least a basic explanation? The timeshare-related companies aren't stupid, they have adequate legal representation to prevent a haphazard uprising from hurting them. Asking for blind support in opposition to those forces will likely get you nowhere and result in a waste of time and money for all involved.

This could be the case since the OP has only posted rentals since they joined. Maybe they were renting PI weeks that they were booking at a reduced rate? Of course, they may not be the case and they were suspended on suspicion of such. At any rate, PI has always done what they promised in my case, including reminding me several times when I had a bonus week expiring.

Not that I'm doubting or challenging you but, how can we be sure of this? You're probably right, I'm just looking for the tell-tale signs or other proof of this accusation and, hence, how people can spot other situations like this in the future.

If I'm sleuthing correctly, the search tool on at least one of their myriad rental websites redirects to PI's exchange availability pages.

It's entirely possible that I'm not sleuthing correctly, which is why I'm asking for the lawsuit details direct from the OP (and which is why I'm not providing names or links to the pages I've reviewed.)

Given this information, I hope the OP loses miserably and is stuck paying MF and losing money on their failed "Rental Biz".

Sadly the risk is more with anybody who's rented from the OP's rental company, especially if PI strictly follows the rules that allow them to cancel any reservations booked in violation of their t&c's. The disclaimer to which renters must agree on at least one of the OP's rental sites is an acknowledgement that certain specific reservations will not be guaranteed. :(
