I have to say that this has got to be the most entertaining thread I've read in my short time on TUG so I really hope it stays .

My point about my mother and name calling was missed by Perry.
Let me rephrase:
Perry, if someone calls you a name, (in this case a shill), and you're not, and you have a long reputation to back yourself up (you do), then why do you give a $#@! if someone on a message board calls you that name?
Respectfully,
Cluemeister
No wonder they call you the Cluemeister because you have a Clue.
Your statement reminds me of a time when someone started a rumor of a friend that they had been taking drugs. I asked her about it and she just started laughing uncontrollably. It was so far off from her own self image and perception that it just sounded like a funny joke to her. I knew instantly that it was just a bad rumor and it immediately died out.
We've been having some great fun over on the hotel board lately, so if this thread stops entertaining you, come join us over there!
Some years ago Dear Abby (or maybe it was her twin sister Ann Landers, I don't know) had to call a halt to 1 of the longest-running blood-boiling topics ever to rile up her readers -- whether the toilet paper should unwind clockwise or anticlockwise off the roll.Anything that gets people's blood boiling is very entertaining.

Buy resale.Developers create these Developer only benefits to get people to pay extra for their timeshares. So, when they take away those benefits, those people get angry.
Buy resale.
Skip costly developer benefits of questionable value.
Save thousands.
Avoid angry feelings when developers take away the benefits or escalate the costs for reaching their next premium plateau.
[ Too simple. There's got to be a catch. ]

I think it should roll off the top and not against the wall.
You & me both.Five figures is out of my league for a timeshare purchase
Good grief!
Well, sure. Of course that's the point. Meanwhile, the scoffers are merely pointing out that this unique something is more apt to be the sound of sizzle than the taste of steak -- not that there's anything wrong with that for folks willing to pay for sizzle, or those smarter than the rest of us TUG schlubs who recognize added value where the rest just see desert mirage.I think Perry's point here is simply that if you act now you may be able to get something "unique" that won't be available on the re-sale market, and therefore may be more valuable later on.
you want my opinion on this thread...I had stayed out of it before but since you are insulting/bashing/commenting on TUG and its policy.
you started the thread....not everyone agreed with you due to westgate involvement...and you took offense to people not agreeing with your new plan.
You then took it upon yourself to insult TUG claiming you "dont like where its going or what its turned into". Then you deleted your informative posts...and left your other little comments instead...thus removing anything helpful you contributed to this post to begin with in an attempt to get it deleted.
IMO these actions are far worse than anyone else who participated in this thread.
you have repeatedly asserted you would not participate in this thread any longer and gone back each and every time to "re-participate".
I am sorry that a good number of these people dont agree with your plan, and I am not sure why you care so much that they dont...more money for you right?
Quite honestly if I had a plan to make a million dollars and shared it with my friends...and they all told me I was nuts...id still be laughing my way to the bank after I made the million.
This is the reason people think you have more to gain here than you are letting on.
I think this thread alone will provide for a new policy of not editing your posts after a certain amount of time.
