I have a few questions. So from my understanding is the property has to be fixed week and on RCI am I wrong? There are Holiday Inn weeks on RCI but i was told they weren't PIC properties. So what do I need to look for going forward.

Holiday Inn weeks participate in a points program then which is my guess why they may not be eligible. So my guess is that is why they are not PICable. They have changed the rules.

It must be a fixed week, it must be in RCI, and it must be a resort that does not participate in points.

And by points, I mean RCI Points, or their own internal points program. Either is true.

Yes but Holiday Inn itself is a points program. That is why they likely will not let it. Go read the wording on PIC if you can find it. Not on the new site but I will look at the old manual and see what I can find. I think as long as it is eligible to participate in a points program, either RCI Points or HICV's program, that is all they need to exclude it.

Here is the eligibility I copied......

I believe the key phrase is "not currently participating in a points-based program, including RCI points." That phrase refers back to the "non-Wyndham week(s)" rather than the resort. One of my PIC weeks is a Massanutten Woodstone 4 BR that I took out of RCI Points to use as a PIC because it's more beneficial for me that way; the resort participates in RCI Points, but my particular week does not, so it is eligible. No idea how OP's week would compare.

Do an eBay search on Vacation villages at parkway. Many you will see listed as both points and a fixed week on the same listing. That's because that week was enrolled in the points program. If it's unenrolled, it will go back to being the same fixed week it was before. So it sounds like Holiday Inn VC might have something similar. Look at this way, if it cannot be deposited into RCI, it's not PIC Plus Eligible. As far as I know, Holiday Inn VC cannot be deposited into RCI. With that said, you can enroll points-based timeshares into PIC express, but it's only good for five years and you cannot use those points for bookings. They will only help you advance your VIP status temporarily.

So just because I can see a property on RCI doesnt mean its affiliated with it?

Depends on where you see it. If you're looking at the directory, then there are many in there that are not "exchange" vacations. When purchasing a PIC, you have to ask if you'd be able to deposit the week into RCI. If it's RCI points, it won't qualify for PIC Plus until you remove it from the points system. If it's in any points system, it will not qualify for PIC Plus.
