These things are important for us:
1) battery life
2) good low signal performance
3) international
4)cost of phone
5) cost of plan

things that would be nice:
1) decent quality camera
2) music capabilities
3) email (low on the priority list)

what carrier, and for how long you want the fone for?

by "international" are you talking about international calling from the US or taking the phone internationally for use overseas?

Currently, we are with ATT. I assume a new contract would be for 2 years.
