I am going to Cancun on Friday.
What is the best way to call from cancun to USA?
If you recommend phone card, which card is the best? Thanks!

Whenever I travel internationally, I use VOIP, like Skype, to call back to the US if I have internet access.

Phone cards are all about the same price. Pick one up just about anywhere. Just remember, the hotel or T/S may have some stupendous fees. Last time I was there and called from the room, the fees were 10 times the cost of the card on short calls.

Cheers

Ok, thank you!
I just called Verizon, they said they charge $0.99/minute if I use my cell phone from Mexico because my plan doesn't have international calling plan.
They also said text message is $0.50 per sending and $0.05 per receiving.
Maybe I have to bring my Vonage phone and use it from there :)

Superb cell phone for use in Mexico

This post may be too late for you to use since you are leaving shortly, but you'll want to check Mexitel Cellular before your next trip. Calls to the US and Canada are $1 per call (not per minute), incoming calls are all free, and they send the phone to you before you leave (so you have it at that so-ciritical time of luggage retrieval and hotel pick-up).

Almost forgot - Mexitel is on the web at www.mexitel.net
Hope this helps out - if not this time then next.

You are most welcome, fellow early-days VCI'er.
I have gotten so much good and useful (and money and time saving) information here that it was gratifying to be able to finally give something back.

We always go to Las Islas. There is an internet cafe. 50cents/minute.
