I've owned timeshare for 30 years. I know this is a long shot but have any timeshares changed their rules to now include pets? I have a 20 pound dog who I would love to travel with. ( in the us only) Hope so! Thanks

There are a few although some only allow pets for owners.

I believe some of the Vacation village units allow pets, but I would call before exchanging because it is only some resorts

Currently staying in Titusville, Florida at a pet friendly property. They aren't common, but there are a few out there! I'm going to get in the habit of asking properties if they have any pet friendly units, even if they aren't listed as a pet friendly property. Sometimes a RCI listing isn't completely accurate.

I'd avoid them like the plague. Recently stayed in a resort near Dover Castle that allowed dogs. I took my service dog with me and we were placed in the units at the end where clearly all the other dog owners end up. We were next to a couple that had two extremely annoying little dogs that didn't stop yapping at every thing that moved. Fortunately, as a service dog mine is trained to remain quiet and calm and you would never have known she was there.

Last weekend I stayed in a Holiday Inn again with my dog. The hotel allows pets and there were a number of dogs that were aggressive including a staffordshire bull terrier that was let off the lead when it entered the lobby and ran straight over to my dog and attacked her! I can't understand the mentality of someone who thinks that it's fine to let your dog off the lead in a hotel lobby.

This is a list compiled by TUG listing pet friendly timeshares. Please call the resort first before making a reservation to double check if they still allow pets.
