You can't just buy RCI Points. It isn't allowed. You can 'buy' them from RCI to 'top off' a reservation, or 'give' them to family and friends- for no profit. I suppose they could be an under the table transaction, but don't know the wisdom of being involved in something like that.

Maybe that's why your inquiries aren't getting response.

It is the weekend.

NFL games are being played.

MLB elimination games are being played.

Surfing the web and answering email is a M-F task done at work.

Raking leaves.

3 day weekend for some ... Columbus Day.

Canadian Thanksgiving Holiday. :hi:

that is the quick list.

And the Number One reason he may not have gotten a reply: The Seller could be on VACATION! After all, isn't that why we're all here? ;)

did they provide a phone number to call about the ad? it would be located at the top of the "contact" form you fill out to send them a message.

In nearly all of these situations, we find the message (or in many cases the reply) is located in the members spam folder and simply goes unnoticed.

-Are you responding with well written emails using correct English? (scammers write poorly.)

-Are you providing your email and phone number for contact?

-Have you checked YOUR spam folder for responses?

To help avoid any confusion are you looking for just the RCI Points or a RCI Points ownership or both? Bruce? :D

They probably already expired or they have already transferred them to someone and they just didn't remember to remove their ad.

Place a free "Wish" ad in the Marketplace

Two folks contacted me about RCI Points today from my "Wish" ad. I could also direct them to your post.

This happens to me more than I like. Another poster mentioned that the points probably expired or were transferred already and that they forgot to remove their listing. I quick email follow-up from them would be a courtesy that some folks don't bother to do.

thanks, i was looking for just points not ownership.

It might help if you posted the :shrug:number of points you want and what you would be willing pay. Also maybe if you posted the resort and the timeframe you want maybe someone would have a rental that would meet your wishes.

Have you checked the Tug last minute rentals or the Tug market place or used Google?

Advertising in the discussion forums is not permitted, so if he posts that info. here, it will be deleted.

You cannot request or offer points on the Last Minute Rental Forum.

He did contact people on the Marketplace - that is what his post is about.

I was looking for Wyndham points and contacted 1 person by email, left my name and email address, and heard nothing even though the ad stayed up for a couple more weeks. I contacted another person and the ad was taken down a couple of hours later.
So I do have a rather skeptical view of the Marketplace if the sellers don't have the courtesy to reply that the offer is not longer available - they might not be that good to work with on a purchase.

Life happens. While any response is a common courtesy, things do happen in people's life's that render some things to the bottom of their priority lists. Death, health issues , sudden life changes. Good luck in your search.

[This would be a good question to ask privately.]

I get emails and phone calls every day from individuals making these same claims (folks not responding).

in these cases I will usually just forward the email to the poster of the ad, but we wont give out owner personal information to 3rd parties.

Just to be clear as to how the marketplace works:

When you send a message about an ad two things happen:

1. the message is stored on the TUG server with the ad, and is there forever unless the poster either deletes the message specifically, or deletes the ad. We did this to ensure that messages like this could never be "lost" in email etc...you can always log in and view all of your messages.

2. an email is sent to the email address used to post the ad informing the tug member that someone has sent them a message about their ad (the resort name/etc are mentioned in the notification email...something like "Hey someone has sent you a message about your Royal Caribbean rental in the TUG marketplace..YAY!"

there is also a link to the marketplace in the email so the tug member can quickly log in and view their message and choose to respond at their leisure via email, or phone number as provided in the message.

lastly, should the tug member not see the "message notification" email, we send out a 3rd email every monday to every TUG member who has an unread message in the marketplace reminding them to please read said message.

if both the message notification and message reminder emails go unnoticed...they will get yet another reminder the following week and so on and so on.

Hope this helps clear things up!
