I am planning my trip to Asia for 2009: China, Thailand and Malaysia.

Was shocked this morning when checking DAE online that there is a column at the right indicating the number of nights, and lots of the inventories available are for either 3 or 4 nights only.

See this (I have bolded a few):

China Anhui Huangshan Huang Shan (Xi Di) Xiang Xi Gu Holiday Village HR / 2 03 Jan 2009 7 BOOK NOW HOLD NOW
China Guangxi Guilin Jin Long Hotel HR / 2 03 Jan 2009 3 BOOK NOW HOLD NOW
China Hainan Haikou HaiKou Blossom Season Sprinwater Resort HR / 2 03 Jan 2009 3 BOOK NOW HOLD NOW
China Hebei Qinghuangdao Nandaihe Seaview Palace HR / 2 03 Jan 2009 3 BOOK NOW HOLD NOW

Hotels in China are not expensive. I can get the same hotel from the market for like 150 or less for 3 nights.

I can't image someone will exchange a 7 night North America resort week with a 3 night hotel in China.

Hope this is a mistake; otherwise, I may have to look some where else.

Looking forward to a response please.

Hello.

We offer split week deposits to our Asian markets because so many of the vacation products are sold in those increments there. When one of our seven day depositors wants to use a split week, we allow the 7 day credit to be used for two split week stays. As an example you could book with only one 7-day deposit a 3 day and a 4 day stay. They do not have to be concurrent stays.

This transaction has to be made by phone rather than online until our systems are properly updated.

I hope this clears the issue up a bit.

Thanks
